Russ Williams offers insight to company performance and success
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (November 5, 2009) – Russ Williams, CEO of archer>malmo, was recently selected and featured as a contributing writer for Inside The Minds™: Improving Your Company's Performance, a collection of writings from leading CEOs on setting companies apart, taking strategic action and developing long-term plans.
In his chapter, "Taking Strategic Action against Your Fundamentals to Improve Performance," Williams delves into the issue of performance, which he measures by quality of work, financials and new business production.
"Practically speaking, quality of work is critical to long-term performance in [financials and new business production]," Williams said. "If a company performs well in that dimension, then performance in the other two dimensions will likely follow."
Williams also evaluates and analyzes performance challenges, one of which is maintaining consistent standards across a company. Through peer and self-evaluation, Williams measures performance against individual goals, the core values of the company and the standards established in each department. Along with the issue of performance, Williams discusses how companies can achieve success by embracing modern concepts of leadership.
"Most important among leadership principles is the building of a cohesive management team," Williams said.
Additionally, Williams offers insight on best practices for improving performance, the role of the CEO, the influence of customers and measuring success.
