Retail Agency TMB Marketing Group Merges into archer>malmo

MEMPHIS, Tenn (Jan. 5, 2011)—TMB Marketing Group, LLC, a relatively new and growing Memphis-based marketing agency specializing in the retail sector, is merging into archer>malmo, the largest agency in Tennessee. The deal, which was effective Jan. 1, was announced today by the two firms' chief executives.

Both firms' primary clients are national in scope. However, TMB's focus and expertise lie in the retail sector, a category that is underrepresented in archer>malmo's client base. TMB's clients include Palm Beach Tan, Desert Sun Tanning Salons, Planet Tan, Southland Park Gaming and Racing, the franchisees of BLOCKBUSTER, Inc. and Grade Results, an online tutoring service.

According to TMB President and CEO Tom Barzizza, the merger will add substantial breadth and depth to TMB's capabilities and create efficiencies that allow for expansion to serve other national retail brands. "archer>malmo's overall depth of capabilities, plus its specialization in digital marketing and public relations, gives my team the resources we need to take our clients' results to the next level," said Barzizza.

Barzizza will serve as president of TMB Marketing and will become an archer>malmo stockholder.

archer>malmo agency President and CEO Russ Williams sees TMB's expertise in retail as an opportunity for growth in several of the agency's marketing disciplines as well as a chance to produce highly visible marketing campaigns. "We're excited about doing more work in the retail sector. It is a dynamic environment that demands the nimbleness and commitment to results that are the hallmark of our agency," said Williams.

TMB will be promoted as a specialty retail marketing services brand under the archer>malmo's umbrella of services, which includes lifesize digital marketing, smash experiential marketing, tangerine direct marketing and archer>malmo public relations.

All of the TMB staff members, consisting of 11 full-time employees, will be integrated into archer>malmo, bringing the firm's total full-time employees to 107.

archer>malmo's offices are located in the Cotton Exchange Building in Downtown Memphis.
